If you have been out to the club in the last month or so, you may have noticed a large section of the retaining wall between traps 5 and 6 collapsed after a recent rain.
After reaching out to a couple landscaping contractors and being told that if we got on the list now, we might get it done next year and oh, that’ll be A LOT of money too, we decided to tackle this ourselves.
It is projects like this that really make a club like we have. The diverse skill sets available and the drive and determination of our members really shone through on this one.
They started deconstructing the wall Thursday night.
A crew came back Friday morning and Saturday morning and went to town.
Good as new. And a day ahead of schedule.
I think Ron said it best while posting the above picture of the finished wall.
“I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who came out and helped with the wall. Many hands made a very labor intensive job go very well.”
Hats off to all who helped. It looks great.
