Spring 2017 Updates
The 2017 shooting season is right around the corner and a lot of things are starting to happen. Thought we would put out a notice of some of the things that you should start marking your calendar for.
Monday March 6th is the Annual Trap Organizational meeting. This is the time to turn in your rosters and sponsor payment for the 2017 Leagues.
Friday March 17 through Sunday March 19 is the Wisconsin Sport Show at the Menards Event Center at the Old Mill Center. Come out and check out the Club's booth, pick up your membership for the year or grab some information on the upcoming shooting events.
April 22nd and 23rd is the first ATA shoot at the Club for the year. The other shoots dates are May 20th and 21st and June 9th, 10th, and 11th.
March 28th and 29th will be the first Tuesday and Wednesday that the Club will be open for the year. You can come out and buy your memberships, trap tickets, shells or components and start shooting your banks and shoot ahead scores for the 2017 season.
Sundays through April 15th the Club will be open for shooting from Noon to about 4pm, weather permitting.
April 15th will be the Spring Warm Up shoot. Watch for more information on that to come soon, or just show up on the 15th. Shooting starts at 11:00am.
April 18th and 19th will be the start of the 2017 Handicap League season. Schedules will be available as soon as all the teams are registered and will be available at the Club and online as soon as we can get them printed and adapted for the site.
April 17th is the first Introduction to Trap night. If you want to get into trapshooting or know someone who may, this is the night to come try it out. More information is available at the club.
April 29th is the Marshfield Clinic Rich Seubert Celebrity Trapshoot to benefit cardiac research. Always a good time. Check out the link here for more information.
May 8th will be the first 16 Yard and Double League night for the season. Again, schedules will be available at the Club and online once all the teams are registered.
Rifle Range road. A lot of people have been asking if we will have the range open during trap hours this season. The short answer is: yes, that is our plan. We were hoping that the logger that was scheduled to come in this winter would be able to cut a new road around the pheasant pins that would route the car traffic away from the impact zone near the green shed. Due to a strange winter for weather and scheduling issues, it does not appear that the logger will get to the project this year. We are now looking at cutting the new road ourselves. This will be a lot of work and we will be putting out a call for help when we start this project. Please watch the site and the facebook page for more updates.
