Certification

The Eau Claire Rod & Gun Club has been authorized to hold Registered Trapshoots on these dates. All scores will be included in the official records.

Northwest Zone Shoot Notes

• Classification is per WTA. 5 classes for Singles and Doubles. 4 Yardage groups. Details in WTA 2025 Zone Shoot contract.
• All events shot on three banks of two traps per bank – 50 targets per trap – 5 per post.
• Category shooters may shoot off for any place and fall back to single category. Limit one trophy per event. 

Shoot Regulations & Notes 

A.T.A. Rules will govern this shoot. 
• Registration will open 30 min before event #1 start time.
• Category shooters may shoot off for any place and fall back to a Single category. Limit one award per event. 
• Payoff for Friday’s and Saturday’s events will be paid in cash on the following day. Payoff for Sunday’s events will be mailed. 
• All classifying will be done by the Handicap Committee. 
• Shooters with less than 500 targets in each discipline will be placed in Class ‘B’ for 16 yds.& Dbls. and at the 20 yard line (adult males) for Handicap.
 • A.T.A. and W.T.A. fees will be added only once daily to a shooter’s entry fee on the first event they shoot that day. Noted with an * next to the fee amount.
 • Shoot-off winners will be determined by rounds of 25 targets in the 16 yard & Handicap events and by 10 pairs in Doubles. H.O.A. by 10 targets of each discipline. 
• Shoot-offs will be determined by shoot management. 
• No entry will be accepted until shooter has entry card completed with class & yardage. 
• No entry may be changed after the events start.
• Junior Class Shooters may shoot the entire program for $16 per 100 targets. 
• Practice trap will be available at $6.00 per round of 25. 
• Lunch, shells, and camping space will be available on the grounds.
• The Shooting Committee reserves the right to re-squad shooters as necessary to maintain the harmony of the shoot.
• Shoot management reserves the right to alter, postpone, or extend any part of this program due to inclement weather or other conditions. 
• Shoot management may reject any entrant who may be interfering with the harmony of the shoot.
• We use Winchester solid orange targets

DOUBLES CLASSIFICATION 

Class AA 93% and over 
Class A 89% and under 93% 
Class B 85% and under 89% 
Class C 78% and under 85%
Class D Under 84%

TARGET REQUIREMENTS: (current and previous year combined)

16 yard – 700 targets
Handicap – 700 targets
Doubles – 400 targets

NEW SHOOTER REQUIREMENTS: (in current year)

16 yard – 200 targets
Handicap – 200 targets
Doubles – 100 targets

PENALTIES:

Men – A, 24 yards, A
Women & Sub Juniors – C, 20 yards, C
Juniors & Vets – B, 22 yards, B
Senior Vets – no penalty
Shooters with Singles and/or Doubles averages at, or exceeding, the minimum penalty class will be penalized a minimum of one class
Shooters with current Handicap yardage at, or exceeding, the minimum penalty yardage will be penalized a minimum of one yard, not to exceed 26.5 yards
